God called Rev. Dan Borchert and his family to New Stanton Alliance Church in May 2014. Dan grew up in the Pittsburgh area and is a 1999 graduate of Toccoa Falls College with a degree in Pastoral Ministries. Nothing gives him greater joy than seeing people grow closer to God. His favorite way to spend alone time with God is to strap on his running shoes and hit the road.
Dan met his wife, Heather at Mahaffey Camp during their tween years. After Heather graduated from Houghton College with a degree in Music Education, she taught music at a Christian school and is now serving New Stanton Alliance as worship leader.
Dan and Heather have a heart for meeting people where they are and helping people use their God-given talents to serve Him and others.
Dan has headed up the planting of a community garden this summer on the New Stanton Alliance property. Their hope is to share the produce with those in need in the community through the church's Pass-it-on ministry.
Dan and his wife Heather have three children: Isaiah, Samuel, and Anna.
Isaiah enjoys learning computer programming, playing with Legos, and playing basketball and football.
Samuel likes playing soccer, baseball, football, and basketball. He also enjoys playing Beyblades and Legos with his brother.
Anna loves girly things like trying on shoes and having her nails painted. She likes getting into her brothers' Legos and trying to climb up their bunk bed ladder. She is obsessed with slides!
